ReplyDeleteIt really gives a magnetic pull when listening. If you can help me to get the words of the Tamil arathy, sung by a devotee, which I listen- morning arathi, noon arathy, evening arathy. This is played on the net but I am very anxious to get the words to commit to memory. I am unable to find it anywhere.

Sir, I do not know where the translated "tamil Aarathi" available. I have listened some of the audios uploaded in youtube by devotees in the name of "sai baba tamil Aarathi". But I am not sure whether they are the correct translations. Only a person very fluent in both Marathi and Tamil with language skills can translate the original Aarathi used generally by Shirdi devotees. Since many tamil poets write songs for baba nowadays, it is always better to follow the old, original Marathi Aarathi until a perfect, correct musical translation arrives without changing its originality- both in meaning and its wonderful raagas
Though I do not know Marathi, I am trying to write detailed series on Aarathi based on the information available on the web, in the forthcoming issues..
